Wednesday's Word

Well, it's Wednesday once again. It seems the week is flying past, but here's the word for today (actually its a group of words, but you'll understand.) The words are: My belly hurts.

Actual meaning - my stomach is in pain

Meaning to me - The words when spoken by a young child turn a household upside down

I'm sure you're probably wondering why I chose these words. I'll tell you. My niece said them Tuesday of last week. The poor child was sick. It was awful to see her feeling so bad. However, I think the next time she says these words, she should be quarantined. Why? Because since then, my sister, my brother-in-law, my mom, my brother and myself have all shared in the joy of this "belly hurting" ordeal. She was definitely right, it makes your belly hurt something awful. Not that it's her fault really. A kid can't help getting sick or being around people, but the next time I hear that she has the stomach flu, I think I'll keep my distance from their house. Just to be on the safe side!

Their germs spread so fast with wet kisses. I got a horrible chest cold a few weeks ago that went right through my children to me. :)

That's true. I know around here everytime Chloe gets sick it begins with "my stomach hurts."
