Well, Here's What I Did

Okay, I asked you guys your opinion on the lingerie thing. So I figured I'd fill you in on what I ended up buying. And how I approached it so that I wouldn't feel weird about it.
I bought her an Amish looking gown. No really I did. And I put a note on it that said, "For when you're mad at him."
Okay, I also bought a TASTEFUL little slip gown and put a note on it that said, "For when you aren't."
But hey, it came across as funny, and I didn't get those EWWWW GROSS feelings! About my gift anyway. Now two people, who I will choose to leave nameless to protect, bought outfits that were honestly better suited for a street walker than my dear friend Ari.
Those did send me a bit into the EWWW realm, but it was all in fun I guess! We're only three weeks away from Ari's wedding now, so I guess she needed a little stress relief!

I got my offical invitation to a "fun" shower for someone in my former Sunday School calss. The same day I got a wedding shower invitation for the following weekend. Now the "fun" shower my SIL in hosting and I know what's she's got planned and I would be so out of my element. Ok, I've streached the truth a little and told her I already have plans Friday night. ( I do, if that helmet comes in ) I just feel that since they are younger I'd be the old one in the group so it's best not to rain on their party and let them have fun instead of being very uncomfortable. The guy this girl is marrying I use to babysit!

EXCELLENT! Funny idea, and safe! I clap my hands for you!

Reality is that men are "visually" stimulated, but I really don't think we need to show up to bed in streetwalker clothing! LOL!

your gift idea was brilliant ;)

I've got to say that I've never been to a lingerie party and I'm thankful for that. Not only does it make some people feel weird, it's hard to know what to buy because everyone has different tastes in lingerie...I'd probably go for the gift certificate, although I like what you did :)
