Wednesday's Word

Well, my inspiration for today's word hit me on the way to work. Don't worry, I don't have road rage. You won't see me on the news getting out of my car and beating up someone at a light. This is just something I didn't understand.

Now for the word: Idiotic

Actual meaning: completely devoid of wisdom or good sense

Meaning to me: The inability of some people to go the actual speed limit (especially when I'm running late!)

Okay, here's the deal. I live in the country, and the speed limit on my road is 55 mph. I pulled out of my driveway this morning, and I got behind a car. This car was going between 40 and 45. I know what you're thinking, "Why didn't you pass the guy?"
The reason I didn't pass is because I live on a very curvy road. So I'm stuck behind this guy.
I reach the stop sign and pray that he turns the opposite way. He didn't, but we turned on a road that was 45 mph, and he started going 50. Now it irritated me a bit that he couldn't even go the speed limit on my road but now he was speeding on this one, but I was glad that he wasn't being pokey anymore. Or so I thought.
A few miles up the road the speed limit changed once more to 55. The guy slows to 45 mph. I honestly think the guy wasn't quite right. I mean, he speeds in the 45 zone, but goes really slow in the 55 zone. It didn't make any sense.
Any other weird driver stories out there?
