Does This Bug You?

I know that the hogwash thing is officially over, but I have a complaint. Now I don't really like to complain, but this just bugged me to no end.
Here's the deal. Saturday night we had a singing at our church, and a group of us went to eat afterwords. It was about 10 when we got to the restaurant, so it was pretty empty. Only a few stragglers were there eating, but the bar was full.
The bar is located at the entry of the restaurant. Thus the cause of my complaint.
See, as soon as I walked in and started talking to the hostess this drunk guy starts staring at me. (Yes, I could tell he was drunk, the guy could barely sit on the stool he was so wobbly)
Staring is one thing. I can ignore it. I can look the other way. However, it didn't stop at staring. He began to point at me. Again, I tried to ignore him. I stepped to the side and tried to look at my friend who was looking at me and hadn't noticed the drunk guy yet. The hostess had noticed him by this point, but she was trying to ignore him too. (We had ten people, so it was taking a minute to decide where they were going to put us)
Anyway, this drunk was persistent. Since his pointing didn't bring his desired affect, he yelled out, "Hey, you in the blue." (At least I think that's what he said, it was kind of slurred.)
I again ignored. I don't think he was happy about that, so he stopped trying to go through me. He told the hostess to add a spot for him at my table because he was sitting with me.
She said, "Only if you're invited!"
I of course said no. Fortunately by then our table was ready. It was far from the bar, and I didn't have to deal with the crazy guy anymore.
My complaint, if restaurants are going to allow crazy, drunk guys to sit in their bars, they should not put the bar right at the door where said crazy drunks can harass every customer who comes in.
These are just my thoughts on the matter! What do you think?!

OMG...ummm, I think that the restaurants need to set a drink limit and cut off the boose after the drinker has exceeded that limit. That should be done not only to cut down on the likelihood of scenes caused in the restaurant, but also as a courtesy to the rest of the people who are driving out on the road...you know there was a good chance that guy was going to drive home in that drunken condition.
